Palm Sunday and Easter Sunday | March 29th and April 5th, 2026 | Two-Part Series

Darla Beardsley April 23, 2026

2 Corinthians 4:10
We always carry around in our body the death of Jesus,
so that the life of Jesus may also be revealed in our body.

During Holy Week (March 29th-April 5th), we will join with Christians around the world in commemorating the death and resurrection of Jesus. This will be a special time for CitySalt to gather as a church family to worship and reflect on the meaning of the life and death of Jesus for all our lives.

In our worship gatherings on Palm Sunday and Easter, we will be exploring the idea that Jesus’s death and resurrection are not only important events for us to remember and celebrate. They are also, according to Paul, spiritual realities that we carry around with us in our everyday lives that reveal the love and power of God at work in the world. In Christ, circumstances that demonstrate our weakness and frailties as human beings can become situations for God’s power to emerge and bring the hope of new life.

Core Value Series | February 15th - March 22nd, 2026

Darla Beardsley April 8, 2026

Over the past two years, through a collaborative process of congregational input and various work groups, we have been working to define our core values as a church. We were excited to share these at our annual business meeting a couple weeks ago.

During our Sunday gatherings over the next six weeks, we will be preaching through each of these core values to unpack the meaning and importance of them for our life together as we seek to move forward with them in the coming year.

CS Not My Will But Yours Prayer Series | January 4th - 25th, 2026

Darla Beardsley January 30, 2026

As we turn our thoughts to a new year, we are excited to begin a new teaching series this Sunday with a focus on prayer. Specifically we will center Jesus’s prayer in the Garden of Gethsemane: “Nevertheless not my will, but yours, be done (Luke 22:42).” This prayer of Jesus is short, but rich with meaning and application for our lives as it encapsulates some profound truths about both the power and mystery of prayer.

Christian prayer is neither a religious ritual to magically get what we want from God or a tool to simply get in touch with our inner thoughts and feelings. At its core, prayer is a two-way relational connection with our Creator concerning the various details and seasons of our lives and hearts. As such, prayer has both the power to change our circumstances and change us. In this series, we want to explore various ways that prayer works in our lives to guide, shape, form, and heal us in our relationships with God, one another and ourselves. Wherever you find yourself in your faith journey at the beginning of 2026, we hope this series will encourage you in the power of honest and open connection with God and reveal some new or underexplored pathways for connection with God that you can pursue in the coming year.
