At CitySalt Church we understand prayer to be an act of opening ourselves up in communication with God. Though communication is most often understood to be a conversation with words, we believe it can also be with unknown words, music, physical movement, service and even contemplative silence. With all these choices, there are many ways to pray! Our desire is to encourage you to pray in any way that best brings you into communion with our loving and very relational God.

Here are some ways to join others of us in times of prayer:

All Church Prayer and Worship Night
Once a month we meet to pray for personal concerns, for our church, our city, our nation and the world. This typically happens on the second Tuesday of every month at The Box. For more information, as well as exact dates, please visit our Upcoming page.

After-Service Prayer
At the end of each Sunday service, there are people available to pray for special requests.

You may also request a special time of ministry by a team of dedicated leaders (outside of church) by contacting Abby at abby@citysalt.org.

Prayer Chain
Would you like to be part of our Prayer Chain? This is a team of people who are notified by email or text to pray for urgent needs which are brought to our attention. You are free to pray in your home or office at a time that is convenient for you. Contact Abby at abby@citysalt.org if you’d like to be included on this much-appreciated team of Pray-ers!

Space for God Retreats
Several times a year we offer a half-day retreat in the quiet of the countryside to participate in unhurried contemplative practices, enabling us to just spend some uninterrupted time with God. For more information watch our Upcoming page for future dates and details or contact John at jtr36031@gmail.com.

Need Prayer?

What other nation
is so great as to have their gods draw near to them the way the Lord our God draws near to us when we pray
to Him?
